INTRODUCTION

The Mbeya City Council Football Club is owned by the Mbeya City Council. The team was registered on 25.08.2011 with the Registrar of Sports Associations under the law that established the National Sports Council of 1967 with registration number NSC.5375.

Mbeya City Council Football Club is not a membership-based club but an institutional club belonging to the Mbeya City Council. The club will not have a membership structure but will have only fans or supporters.

The Mbeya City Council Football Club was established with the following main objectives: i. To identify and develop football playing talents among Tanzanian youth. ii. To create and expand employment opportunities for citizens by participating in various economic activities related to football. iii. To provide entertainment for all residents of Mbeya, the Southern Highlands, and the entire nation. iv. To build good relations between the City Council and the community we serve.

The Mbeya City Council FC is committed to becoming one of the largest, most famous, and influential teams socially and economically in the Southern Highlands region and the entire nation.

NAME, ADDRESS, HEADQUARTERS, FLAG, EMBLEM, AND LANGUAGE

The name of the club is MBEYA CITY COUNCIL FOOTBALL CLUB (MCC FC). The club’s address is the Main Office of the City Council, Soko Kuu Street, P.O. Box 149 Mbeya, Website: www.mbeyacityfc.co.tz, and the headquarters is the Main Office of the Mbeya City Council. The club colors are PURPLE and WHITE. The club’s emblem features Yellow, White, Black, and Purple colors with an image of the peak of Mount Mbeya, a football, and two players. The languages used by the club for official communication are SWAHILI and ENGLISH, and the club flag will be Purple and White.

TEAM OWNERSHIP

The Mbeya City Council is the owner of the Mbeya City Council Football Club and the main contributor to all the club’s expenses. The Council allocates funds annually from its internal revenue (Own Sources) for the operation and investment activities of the team.

 MAIN SOURCES OF INCOME FOR THE TEAM

The main sources of income for the club are as follows: a) The Mbeya City Council through its internal revenue (Own Source – OS), b) Club sponsors, c) Gate receipts/match entrance fees, and d) Sales of club merchandise (e.g., jerseys).

Ally Nnunduma Abdallah, a Tanzanian born on April 23, 1973, in Mtumbya village, Mtumbya ward, Mtama Division,  Lindi District in Lindi Region, is an accomplished MSc. Agricultural Economics with a strong educational background and extensive experience in Economics, Planning, and Monitoring. Currently, Ally is the Chief Executive Officer of Mbeya City Council Football Club, demonstrating his leadership and commitment to community development. Ally has loved football since he was very young, which is now reflected in his role as the football club president.
